A time capsule home straight out of the Swinging Sixties has gone on the market for the first time - and it's complete with virtually untouched interiors.

The four-bedroom north London home was built in the 60s and is in the much-sought after leafy Highgate on the Southwold House Estate.

Its means the home's new owner will be just a stone's throw away from celebrities in the neighbourhood such as Kate Moss and Sting - so long as they can meet the £1.35million price tag.

The home's late owner Neil Teller was a telecoms engineer and modern design enthusiast who bought the property from friends in the 1990s.

The man's daughter said it was his 'dream house' so he kept its classic Swinging Sixties interior frozen in time.

The property's original winding staircase is still in place just to the left of the home's wonderfully bright open-plan kitchen and reception room, which runs from front to back and opens onto the garde

Retro wallprints adorn the walls and original light features still remain in situ. Even the home's light switches and window locks are the originals from the early Sixties

The classic Sixties tiled wales and floor as well as vibrant utensils, complete with seating stools in the open diner, are of its era

The later homeowner's daughter said he stocked the house full of modern furniture along with sculptures and kinetic pieces he personally made after embarking on an art foundation course

The living room features a blend of mismatching patterns and colours, fitting of its Modernist era

Internal accommodation measures almost 1,400 sq ft over three floors and the house also has a front-garden with off-street parking for two cars

She told Homes and Property: 'My father had always admired his friends’ property, it was his dream house. He was a passionate collector of Swedish and Italian modern furniture and he’d always wanted a house that matched the furniture he liked.

'Whereas lots of people would move into the house and make lots of changes, he kept it very Sixties in that style, even though it wasn’t a very fashionable look at the time.'

Teller preserved the home's layout along with its original wooden fixtures, fittings and statement open-tread staircases. Even the light switches and window locks are the originals from the early Sixties.

Many rooms have almost floor-to-ceiling glazing, including the light-filled top-floor living room, which overlooks the protected rare tulip tree in the back garden.

The home is complete with an open-plan kitchen and reception room, which runs from front to back and opens onto the garden.

The online listing says the the first floor contains a reception room at the rear and a bedroom with en-suite shower room at the front. There are three further bedrooms and a family bathroom on the second floor and master bedroom has access to its own balcony.

The Jackson Lane house is part of the prestigious Southwood House Estate, developed between 1958 and 1962 on the site of the former Southwood House which had become derelict and subsequently burned down.

Classic Sixties posters remain in place throughout the property's four bedrooms. The lucky new owner will be able to say they live in the same neighbourhood as Kate Moss, Jude Law and Sting - all who call Highgate home

Built in the early 1960s, the house is one of the largest on the sought-after Southwood House Estate, a triangle of residences designed by Harley Sherlock of the architectural practice Andrews, Emerson, Sherlock & Keable. She said her picked up the furnishings while living in Stockholm and on his travels to Italy as well as from specialist design shops he would spend his weekends exploring.The house is one of 43 on the Southwood House Estate where both film director Christopher Nolan and composer Thomas Adès, grew up.
